For all the beauty and makeup addicts, summers can be quite annoying. The peskiest issue is makeup! With sweat pouring down your forehead, it is difficult to have your makeup stay put! Makeup can be so much work sometimes and imagine how painful it must be to let almost 90% of it get wiped off with your handkerchief! Makeup tends to crease, melt and look cakey in summers. Here a few tips and tricks which make up experts use to make all the artwork last longer!
1. AVOID USING FOUNDATIONS
Foundation s are meant to provide more coverage to your skin. This is why they tend to feel heavy. It is better to use a BB cream instead of a foundation. They provide decent coverage without feeling or looking cakey. During summers, there are higher chances of your makeup clogging your pores and a heavy layer of foundation can make things worse. It is also harder to remove. Invest in a decent BB cream which will give you a much natural look.
2. USE A MATTE SUNSCREEN UNDER YOUR MAKEUP
Sunscreens are essential for your skin. Apply a layer in a well-blended manner before doing your makeup. If you do not wish to load products on your face then invest in makeup that has SPF. You can find several tinted moisturizers which have SPF and are lightweight. Make sure to apply your sunscreen 15 minutes prior to stepping out in the sun.
3. EXFOLIATE YOUR SKIN GENTLY BEFORE GOING TO BED
Exfoliation helps you to get rid of all the dead skin cells which may clog pores and cause breakouts. But if you do it right before putting on your makeup, then it will stimulate the oil glands and make them produce more oil. So exfoliate your skin very gently using a mild scrub and wakeup with clean skin. Well cleansed skin lets makeup sit better and look well blended.
4. RUB ICE ON YOUR FACE BEFORE DOING YOUR MAKEUP
This will cool your skin. The man benefit if that it will help to minimize the pores around the T-Zone of your skin and make it more firm. This will also work wonders for girls with oily skin as it will help eliminate the oil production to some extent.
5. CARRY BLOTTING SHEETS IN YOUR HANDBAG!
In summers, the sweat glands and the oil glands tend to more active due to excessive heat. This means more oil production. T –zone tends to get shinier that the other areas of the face and when that happens it can lift the layer to makeup and look grey or ashy. If you follow the traditional touch up routine of using a face powder to mattify the makeup then sorry, that will not work. All you would be doing is putting another layer of makeup which will look uneven. Plus, who has the time!?! The best way you deal with this issue is by carrying blotting sheets which you can just press on your face to absorb excess oil and grease. You could even use a thin tissue to do the same. This will not strip off much of your makeup and still work wonders!
